Although it’s more of a mythical idea of a Viking Queen, the clothes she is wearing are a good idea of what she would have worn. I love depicting strong female powerful characters from our ancient past. The prow rising from the waters is a symbol of her origins plus I wanted to convey a little turbulence in the water as symbolic of the Viking plowing through the waves.
